Struck by the Royal Australian Mint to celebrates 60 years of decimal currency, the 2026 Mob of Six Roos $1 represents a clever take on one of Australia’s most iconic coin designs. Created by Stuart Devlin – the man who designed Australia’s original decimal coinage – the traditional Mob of Roos $1 features five kangaroos. An inspired concept, the Mint has added a SIXTH kangaroo to the classic Mob of Roos motif, with the newcomer seen bounding across the top of the coin! Each Roo represents one of the six decades since decimal currency was launched in 1966!
